We were delighted to be asked to assist with the extensive refurbishment to No.8 Royal Crescent in 1999/2000. The property had been converted into two flats in the 1950’s and our client’s intention was to restore the building to its former glory.
The 1950’s conversion had caused much destruction and a whole range of engineering techniques were used to fulfil our brief and satisfy English Heritage.
These included steel/timer flitch beams, resin bonded plates to strengthen stone arches and tension rods to hold up floors and walls.
